I am a longtime Republican woman with traditional values of patriotism and democracy. I have been disheartened by recent rhetoric, extreme partisanship and efforts to weaken democracy. In Pennsylvania, I volunteer to help pass bills the public wants. Many important bills and resolutions haven’t gotten consideration or a vote: redistricting, lead in our drinking water, rural broadband, rules amendments, etc. A government by, of and for the people is hard to see at the moment.

State Rep. Wendi Thomas backs bills to fight human trafficking

Wendi Thomas (R-Bucks) joined her colleagues in passing a package of legislation to combat human trafficking in Pennsylvania, including a companion bill to Thomas’s “Buyer Beware” bill to increase the penalties for anyone convicted of soliciting a victim of human trafficking.

David Library, DCNR, Heritage Conservancy Save Public Green Space

Doylestown, PA, August 10, 2020: In an exciting move that will preserve the entire 118-acre farm in Washington Crossing in Upper Makefield Township that had been home to the David Library of the American Revolution (DLAR) since 1974, an Agreement of Sale has been co-signed by Heritage Conservancy and Pennsylvania's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) to acquire the property from DLAR. The agreement will make the riverfront property available to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as part of the Delaware Canal State Park with public accessibility for everyone to enjoy.
